Living Legends is the result of a longstanding desire to record
a true, 50/50 collaboration between these two blues luminaries;
Paul Oscher & Steve Guyger.
Mention Paul Oscher's name and you instinctively think of Muddy
Waters. For five years Paul played with and watched Waters and Spann
like a hawk from his matchless vantage point on tage. No one on
the blues scene today can touch him as a multi-instrumentalist given
his massive harmonica tone, his ability to summon Muddy's spirit
in his slide guitar playing, or his prodigious piano technique.
Steve Guyger has devoted two decades to preserving classic blues
tradition. He worked with Jimmy Rogers from 1980 to 1994. Paul and
Steve are a link to the for fathers of modern blues, bridging the
past and present. They've made their sacrifices and paid their dues
to remain true to this Art Form.
